Second edition. The book is reasonably firmly bound in what looks to be nineteenth century brown half-leather with patterned paper boards and gilt top edge, the extremities are slightly bumped and rubbed. The text block is slightly toned and foxed with damage to two leaves(pages 33 - 36), which are badly torn with creasing but little loss of text. Formerly the property of John Fremlyn Streatfeild with his bookplate to the front pastedown, and later the Hugh Selbourne library, with several small Selbourne Library stamps. Quite an uncommon anti-Catholic abduction narrative.
